ZIRA: Carrlin Vale Lioness - Zira had been feeling old, her youngest children were grown and her eldest son had came back, but yet which pride was he in? Or was he even in a pride? The old lioness hadn't a clue. She was lazying about on the side of the small pound that was in the jungle. Wondering about her other children, Nala and Charlie along with her adopted children that weren't children any more but now young adults or just adults.
Zira sighed in connenet, she probably could still hunt, but yet it seemed like her youngest children wanted her to retire and just be a regular lioness, which she was fine with that. She couldn't wait to be a grandma, she wondered if she was with her second eldest litter, Nala or Charlie, or an adopted grandmom. Or even with Leonardo, her eldest son, whom had left then returned not to long ago, from what Kai had told her.
Zira's eyes were opened as she rested near the small water area of the Vale, just waiting for anyone to come across her path, a family member or a pride member or even the king of Carrlin. She wasn't on her death bed yet, nope, she was still alive, and desperately waiting for the time when she would be reunited with her mate.
SOLSTICE: Carrlin King - So this was his new home now. No, it was more than any 'home' he could claim membership before today. This was literally HIS home now, his lands, his pride to rule. Solstice was making sure to mark over all the sent markers at the border with his own scent.
It was hard for him to pass a tree, or rock pile and not think 'that is my tree, and my rock pile'. It was a little thrilling to feel so powerful....while it lasted anyway. Before to long the image of his mothers kind but stern face nagged at his thoughts. In his mind she silently corrected her son...that is your tree to protect for your people, that is your rock to safeguard. His light and springy steps mellowed into a still happy but much more mature and subdued walk.
With a sigh the new king started to pay careful attention to the Carrlin lands. What did the pride have as far as resources went? How was the land layed out? Who could he talk to to get more information about the current members. He would be talking to the former king (now duke) again soon, but he also wanted to talk to any members he could find as well.
Because the whole of starlight was in a drougt Solstice decided it was a good move to look into how the water source of the vale was doing. He headed in that direction, and when he arrived the King was relived to see that the stream still trickled....much lower than before but still wet. He also noticed a lioness resting near the water. Somehow she was vaguely familiar to Solstice, curiously he approached with friendly body language. "Hello. Do you mind if I approach?" he asked politely. Just because he was now king here, did not mean that manners should be ignored!
ZIRA: Carrlin Vale Lioness
Her black tipped ears pirked to the sound of the other lion as he approached her. It seemed really quiet now adays which seemed strange, probably because of the drought. She then gazed to the all to fimilar lion, who she hadn't seen in a very long time, but she vaguely remembered him. Zira gave a nod and a smile to him. "Hello to you as well, and yes you may approach." She answered him. She had her mannors too, even if she was an elder, she still respected those who were younger then her.
Her body languuge said it all, she was friendly and tired. She gazed to Solstice with polietness. "I am Zira, one elder that lives here." She said to him. "Mother to Abra Safiya's children." She introduced herself, though he did seem sort of fimilar to her, she wasn't entirely sure it was the young lion she ran across in the Ambalar Mountain ambushy invassion thing.
